I absolutely love that Joni Eareckson Tada has not wasted her trials. She has used her hard places in life to encourage others and to point others to Jesus. She has strived to shine God’s light every single day. She wants people to see Christ when they look at her life and ask “How do you do it?”
This devotional can technically be read in about a minute or two. However, it is so packed with truths that I find myself wanting to read and reread the day’s devotional multiple times throughout the day. I need the reminders and encouragement that she offers each day.
Each devotion for the day has a passage of Scripture to read for each day. Following that, she expounds on the passage and gives practical examples of how that particular passage relates to life today.
If you are friends with someone who is currently suffering, this would be a beautiful devotional to put in a care package. If someone needs encouragement in their daily life, send them this book. After reading through it, I can say with confidence that there is something in here for every person. We all have different stories, but we were all created to showcase His glory. We are to glorify God in our lives, and this devotional will be a constant reminder to you to cut out complaining and to instead follow God down the path that He wants you to go.
I received this book free from Zondervan and Handlebar Publishing.
