I don’t usually like to use the New King James Version Bible now that there is the ESV version, but I couldn’t pass up this Bible. Being a HUGE notetaker during sermons and Bible studies, I’m always on the lookout for Bibles that will accommodate my massive need to take notes. I learn by writing what I hear, so it’s very important to me that I have wide margins. Most Bibles didn’t have that when I was growing up. Now there are journal Bibles that have wider margins, but they don’t offer the convenience of lines. With this Bible, you’ll never have to turn your Bible sideways to figure out what you wrote and you’ll never have to read with your Bible tilted because you wrote slanted. These lines are a wonderful addition to this Bible!
The text in this particular Bible is smaller, but I didn’t struggle to read it. However, I do think it might be a smaller print than I’ve read recently. The Bible is small and thin, unlike a study Bible, but it is a little wider. I absolutely love how this Bible lays completely flat! It makes it so much easier to write on either side of the page.
I was pleased to see maps located in the back of this Bible! I always hate when Bibles don’t have maps in them because I like to look up the different areas that Scripture is referring to. There is a concordance and a Bible Reading plan, too.
One of my favorite additions to this Bible is God’s Plan for Salvation, found at the very front of the Bible. I absolutely loved how they used such clear words to tell others about God’s love for people.
I received this book free from Lifeway.
