The older I get, the more that I long for a mentor–an older, wiser woman who has been there, done that and can share her wisdom. I want someone to share their passion for the Lord and tell me all about what God has taught them through the good times and the bad times. I also long to be a mentor to ones younger than me. When I saw this book addressed this passion of mine, I knew I couldn’t not read it!
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth has done a beautiful job laying out Titus 2 to show women of all ages what it looks like to live the Gospel out together. My favorite section was Part 2, where it talks about a woman under control. Women are tempted to fall into these traps daily and it was a section that reminded me again of how intentional I have to be in my daily choices because others are watching.
Adorned speaks of a woman under God, under self-control, and under her roof. I love the three different areas shown throughout the pages. Every woman needs to read this book. I think it would make a great study for a Women’s Ministry to do together. It would also be a great book for Women’s Bible Study groups to go through and discuss with the hopes that more women will come to know that there is wisdom found in both the younger and the older. God knew what was good when He said they needed to live out the Gospel together.
I received this book free from Moody Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
