I have missed reading a new book by Amanda Cabot! Having read all of her books, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her latest. I absolutely enjoy her books and was excited to see that she had written a new trilogy. Her books are always fun to read and great at taking her readers back into the time period she is focusing on. This particular book takes readers back to 1880 and the resentments that were held against the Northeners and Southerners after the Civil War.
Cimarron Creek sounds absolutely beautiful. Of course, it has its own set of problems. One main problem is the fact that a man has disappeared. This man had a fiance’ and then found a wife when he got to Texas. You can imagine the surprise of Lydia, who is Edgar’s fiance’ (or so she thought), when she learns Edgar has a wife and a baby on the way. I was surprised how Lydia spoke with Edgar’s wife and their interactions.
This was the perfect book for me to read on spring break. It was a book that I didn’t want to end once I started. I enjoyed the start of this new series and am anxiously awaiting book 2!
I received this book free from Revell Publishers in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
